“Did you know Ponce de Leon may have died from a poisoned arrow?” Katie Putt asked. The inquisitive ten-year old loved solving mysteries. The freckle-faced redhead had helped her police chief father solve more than a few dastardly dilemmas over the family’s evening meals. The chief would lay out the details of a bedeviling case over salad and Katie often had it solved by dessert. Currently, she was deliberating the demise of the famous Fountain of Youth explorer. The doors of the police station suddenly burst open.
